Daniel N. Weingrad, MD, F.A.C.S., a board-certified surgical oncologist, is chief of surgical oncology with Cancer Health Care Associates (CHCA). Dr. Weingrad has decades of surgical expertise in the diagnosis and care of patients with cancer. He also is experienced in breast ultrasound and treating benign breast disease. Dr. Weingrad is on staff at Aventura Hospital, University of Miami Hospital, North Shore Medical Center, and Mt. Sinai Medical Center.

Dr. Weingrad participates in educational activities of such national organizations as the Society of Surgical Oncology (SSO) and the American Society for Clinical Oncology (ASCO). He is a surgical oncology fellow with the National Cancer Institute's surgery branch, and he participates in clinical trials ensuring that his patients have an opportunity to receive the latest treatments.

Dr. Weingrad was educated at Columbia University in New York and graduated from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts.

He completed surgical residencies at Peter Bent Brigham Hospital in Boston and was Chief Resident at the University of Maryland Hospital. He served as a Clinical Associate in Surgical Oncology at the National Cancer Institute in Bethesda, MD, and completed a fellowship in Surgical Oncology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Dr. Weingrad is an active Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Society of Surgical Oncology, American Society of Breast Surgeons, and American Society of Breast Diseases. He is involved with the American Cancer Society. He served as President of the Florida Division and now serves as an Honorary Life Member of the Board of Directors.
